My Blood Pressure
I was at the doctor today….
Would anyone like to guess why Soliloquy’s blood pressure was high?
Because she has NO IDEA what she is going to do for her kids school in the fall.
Really. Literally. No idea.
I had the kids enrolled in a hybrid homeschool acadamy but it looks like they may go belly up and leave me stranded. Or almost go belly up but not enough to release me from my commitment and only be able to give my kids a crap education.
Just great.
And so I am on a frantic quest for alternatives.
Online virtual academy paid for by the state? Maybe. Enrollment closed at 5pm - I just made the deadline - and can disenroll with no obligation. At least we kept it alive as an option.
Another hybird prep academy? Going to check it out tonight. (Sorry L, for the last minute dinner cancellation. Nothing is more rude than uninviting dinner guests. But this is my one shot this month to check out the other school.)
Cold turkey public school in the district I’m in, but hate? Maybe. (The elementary school is supposed to be fabulous. Is that really fair to Stink, though?)
Open enrollment into the public school we think we want to go to? Don’t know if they even allow it and the school is closed anyway until July 14.
Private school? I think we have to consider everything….
I think this is what they call Up a Creek Without a Paddle. Or SOL. Or a big, hot mess.
So, yes. My blood pressure is high.
Do ya’ think?!
Stumble It!
Got something to Say?

Now it's Your Turn

DO NOT WORRY. Worry and stress occur in an absence of faith. Have faith, lay out your options, pray, pray again, pray again, listen, wait and watch…God will show you what to do.
I’m sort of in the same boat with my son’s preschool. I thought I had tons of time to submit his application and, when I finally did, the class was full.
I was in a panic. I checked out all the options and still was not sure where he was going to go. So, I began to pray. I prayed that God would find the perfect preschool program for my son. Once I prayed that, I began thanking God for working on my request. I kept thanking Him every time I sat down to pray. And, you know what? I just heard that the school I really want him to attend is thinking of adding another Pre K class! So, we’re still not sure where he’ll attend, but I’m confident God will work it out.
Check out your options, do your homework and then give God a little room to work. It will all work out in the end.

You & the kids will be fine! I would be like you and be freaking out but it sounds like you have a bunch of options and at least until the end of July to decide for sure. Checking stuff out is good, sleep on it a little, pray, and you’ll know.
God is cool like that.

Sil, (can I cal you Sil? Or maybe Lil? It’s ever so much easy to write.) God is at the helm. Explore your options but give the choice to Him.

I agree with Heidi… um, this isn’t your decision… I think you’ve weighed your options, you know what you can do… and now you hand it over…
me pot… kettle black..
Praying for you! I have only used Ohio Virtual Academy, which is an online charter school that is public that you do at home (did I lose you?
). I’m not sure which state you are in, but you could check out K12.com to see if there’s a virtual academy in your state. Hang in there, I know God will direct you to the right thing for your family!

UGH! Sounds stressful. There are TOO many choices these days, lol. Not really, but sometimes, it seems like it.
